1 More Paper.

AI RESEARCH, READ ALOUD

About

Research papers, made easier to listen to.

One more paper, wherever you are

1 More Paper is a podcast by Per André Rønsen, focused on AI adoption and governance in organizations. It brings research into the moments when reading a paper is inconvenient: on a walk, on the commute, or between tasks.

How the episodes are made

Episodes are made locally on a Mac with Apple silicon. Research PDFs are converted into structured text and prepared for listening, then narrated using the Kokoro-82M text-to-speech model, running locally through MLX-Audio. Full Readings use the Michael voice; Brief editions use Heart. The speech is generated on the Mac before the finished audio is uploaded to the podcast feed.

The Full Reading follows the paper’s text rather than rewriting it as an AI summary. Preparation removes material that is awkward to hear, such as long URLs, citation markers, reference lists and contact boilerplate. It also repairs known extraction issues, such as words split across PDF lines. This means the recording is a listening edition, rather than a spoken reproduction of every element on the page.

The Brief reads the authors’ abstract and, where available, their conclusion. It offers a shorter way into a paper using the authors’ own words.

The episode notes identify the authors and link to the original paper. Published transcripts let you follow along when they are available. Text extraction and synthetic speech can introduce errors, so consult the original paper for quotations, figures, tables and precise wording.

Only properly licensed research

The public feed only uses articles with a verified Creative Commons license that permits the recording to be shared. Being free to read is not enough: license evidence must match the exact source document used to make the episode.

Articles with missing or unverified rights, conflicting license evidence, restrictive terms or an embargo are excluded from public publication. Each episode’s notes give the source license, credit the authors and link back to the paper.

The original article remains subject to its own license and attribution requirements. The authors and publishers do not sponsor or endorse these recordings.
